About the Human Security Hub
Get to Know Us
What is the HSH?
The HSH is an online resource which aims to compile all things to do with CHR, from past to present. The site is aimed at experts and non-experts alike, in view of functioning as a central hub where users can learn about CHR, and explore relevant resources, from reports and academic papers, to policy updates and related media.

Why was it created?
CHR is a nascent field of research, having emerged only in the last 20 years or so. As such, CHR is little understood in academic communities, and even more so by the wider public. In fact, it is probably safe to assume that the general population is unaware that CHR even exists. The HSH was created to help bridge this gap, providing accessible information on CHR that can be used by a wide range of people for a broad spectrum of purposes.

For example, the explainers might be useful for non-experts who are initially engaging with the subject. The pages compiling resources, on the other hand, might be helpful to researchers navigating their own work on CHR.

What next?
In the future, the site will act not only as a resource library, but hopefully also as a blog and/or forum. Ideally, the site will become a collaborative platform where researchers can submit articles and post updates.
Further down the line, the will site aim to explore issues beyond CHR alone, extending to broader human security concerns, as the name suggests.
